hi it’s tiffany again with sacred pillars talking to you about why do ceremony breath work what are the potential benefits that we see people getting so i see that there are physical as well as non-physical benefits to ceremonial breath work so let’s talk about the physical okay so literally it’s a way and this is proven by science guys this is not woo-woo stuff that somebody’s just making up science proves that by doing deep rhythmic breath patterns for a certain amount of time taps into the parasympathetic nervous system and regulates it so this is where our uh fight or flight response can go really kind of haywire which so many of us live in day in and day out by doing this breath we literally tap into that system and we relax it that’s like one of the number one benefits that people walk away from one of our ceremonies with is that they feel relaxed and most of the time that those effects will last quite honestly for a day two days three days after people do it all right there’s other reasons for it too it releases endorphins it reduces cortisol it is a natural detoxification process so as our blood is moving past our lungs we are literally using this breath to filter out toxins we can release up to 70 percent of the toxins in our body by doing this type of of breath work okay it stimulates the vagus nerve for all kinds of healthy body functions um you know digestion heart rate uh all kinds of things like that so if you do breathwork and you feel like you might not get anything out of it from uh you know mystical or altered state standpoint again just about guarantee you that you got some kind of physical benefit from it so that that’s where we see the breathwork being really powerful from a physical standpoint we’ll talk more in other videos about the non-physical benefits
